Frequently Asked Questions

What do C2P volunteers do in your organization?

Almost anything you want to do or can think of!  You can volunteer as a board member, administration role, community events, organize a fundraiser, a collection at your school, community organizations, and/or soccer club.  You can also help sorting and building team kits for programs in developing countries.  There are so many opportunities.

How much time do I need to volunteer for?

This is really up to you.  You can find volunteering that only takes an hour a month – there’s a trend towards short-term volunteering requiring minimal commitment.  Having said that, obviously the less time you have the harder it can be to find something that’s right for you.

You can volunteer on any day of the week, daytime or evening.  While some volunteering takes place in office hours, you can volunteer at evenings and weekends too, again depending on what you want to do.  Deciding how much time you are prepared to commit to volunteering will help determine where you volunteer.

Can I volunteer with my family, friends, and/or community groups?

Yes, you can!  Some volunteering opportunities can be done in groups, and two or more people could easily join together.  An example:  Our Building a Team Days are on weekends and done in big groups.

Will I get training?

It also depends on the type of work you will be doing.  If you are volunteering in a board or admin role will require more training than Building Team Kits.  Our training is all onsite before all volunteering begins.

Where do I go to volunteer?

Depending on the role, you can volunteer in your own community, your own home, or our C2P headquarters.

Will I receive community hours?

We are happy to have youth volunteers looking to fulfill high school, college and university community service hours join us!
